We’re looking for a talented E-Commerce Copywriter to join our Harvey Norman Online team. In this dynamic Homebush West-based role, you’ll work closely with merchant teams, product experts, and stakeholders to create on-brand, high-performing copy across a range of categories. From researching and writing compelling product descriptions to evolving the Harvey Norman tone of voice, you’ll play a key role in delivering content that informs, inspires, and converts.
Your new role
Content creation and optimisation
- Craft engaging e-commerce copy, including product descriptions and promotional content, that aligns with our brand voice and drives purchases.
- Research and create SEO-friendly content to enhance the discoverability of our products.
- Maintain a consistent tone of voice while refining editorial guidelines and style guides.
Collaboration and delivery
- Partner with internal teams to plan and deliver premium content that supports marketing objectives.
- Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with brand standards.
- Ensure all content is published accurately and on time, leveraging CMS tools.
Content standards and growth
- Support the evolution of our brand’s tone of voice and editorial policies.
- Monitor and refine content processes to improve efficiency and quality.
About You
You’re a creative, detail-oriented writer who is excited by the fast pace of e-commerce. You’ll bring:
Professional skills
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or equivalent experience.
- Strong writing and editing capabilities.
- A razor-sharp eye for detail and impeccable editing skills.
Technical know-how
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like Magento (preferred but not essential).
- A basic understanding of SEO or a keen interest in learning best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and adaptability to constructive feedback.
